Dan Sipping Some Guatemalan Coffee |
My name is Dan. I love studying the Bible with people. I have seen and experienced a lot of growth through simple Bible study with others through the power of God's word. In each episode we will chew on the text together. The episodes will be... bite sized. I've earned the dad jokes, I have five kids. The idea is to help you start your day with a little bite of the Bible and chew, or meditate, on it. We'll read the text and then dig into it—searching for ingredients, flavor, and texture. I'm looking for light bulbs, question marks, and arrows. Read on to see what I'm talking about.
I use The Swedish Method to study the Bible. It's very simple but helps you get a lot out of your time in the Scriptures. Check it out, and see below for a quick example:

A quick example:
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
💡 God’s love moved him to give up his son Jesus so that, in return, anyone who believes in Jesus will have eternal life.
❓ What does perish mean here? Everyone dies.
➡️ Believe in Jesus and you will have eternal life.
